The Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM) livestock initiatives focus on empowering rural women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by creating sustainable income opportunities through livestock including both fisheries & Bee-Keeping.

Fisheries (Aquaculture): UPSRLM promotes low-risk, climate-resilient aquaculture (including biofloc fish farming). The mission provides SHG women with technical capacity building, fish feeding and water quality management videos, and secondary value-chain linkages.

Beekeeping (Apiculture): Aimed at building women-led Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). With support from organizations like Project Concern International (PCI) India and the Horticulture Department, the mission trains SHG households in scientific beekeeping, honey harvesting, and marketing of allied beehive products.
